My Brain

"Right brain: I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feet. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be."

The human mind amazes me.

Favorite!

So I was thinking about how I said that this is my all time favorite craft item. I have decided that I can't say that! I love so many crafty things. But, these little guys are definitely top 5 material.
Yup, STICKERS! I love them so much. Maybe it's the future teacher inside me but I just can't get enough! I think they are so fun. I especially like the cheesy "GREAT JOB" stickers. I think they're so encouraging. So if you want to see me smile, just give me a sticker. :)

I have failed the 30 Day Journal Challenge.

It's actually quite pathetic. I made it to day four.

I'm ashamed.

In other news, I love my mom's Cricut.

I plan to post later this week about my favorite craft item of all time so stay tuned!
Here's a hint: it's sticky.

That's all for now.

30 Day Art Journal Challenge Day 2

Create 3 to 5 simple, accomplishable goals for your 30 day journal challenge. What are some things that you hope to accomplish through this adventure?
I used black marker to write and draw the flag bunting. I filled it in with green, pink, and orange paing.

30 Day Art Journal Challenge Day 1

Create an introduction page. This can be an introduction of yourself or of your journal. This is kind of like the title page for your journal.

I made this page using neon yellow tissue paper, a Battery Charged Blue Crayola marker, and sequins.

Art Journal

I have always wanted to start an art journal but I have lacked the inspiration to come up with prompts. So I was so excited to hear that Janel, from a blog I follow called Run with Scissors, is having a 30 day art journal challenge!

The cool thing is, last weekend I found this journal on sale at Beverly's. It was originally $13.99 and I got it for $7.00! I'm tempted to go buy more so I'll have extras!

I plan on posting images from each of the pages I make so stay tuned. The challenge doesn't start until June 1st, so if you are interested there is still time for you to join! Just head over to Run with Scissors!

Update

Ohhhh man, it's been awhile... sorry! With finals and then driving home, there wasn't much time for creativity. Actually a lot of creativity but no time to document!

Anyways, I have been crafting like crazy lately. So far I have made a bunch of cards and I'm almost done with an awesome collage. I'll take some pictures later.

My next project is a flag bunting! I think they are so cute and it would be a great addition to spice up the dorm room next year. I've already got some really cute fabric for cheap cheap cheap! The next step, however, is learning how to sew!

Easter Break

Well Easter break starts tomorrow and unfortunately, due to the distance, I am unable to make it home. I discovered that about 10 others in my hall won't be making it home either. So I invited them to Easter dinner! These are the invites I made.

I used a reed diffuser stick, paper, and hot glue to put these precious invites together.

Friday Inspiration

This week we have had some pretty nice weather. Traces of spring are popping up all around campus. I have seen little, purple flowers and vibrant, yellow daffodils that are tempting us with the promise of spring. So today's inspiration is flowers and all things springy!

These are some paper flower magnets I made. They are so easy to make, all you need is some paper flowers, a button or gem for the center, some glue (hot glue works best) and a magnet strip!

Stuff I'd Like to Learn

I really want to learn how to crochet so that I can make adorable things like this:

And these beautiful head wraps:

So does anyone want to teach me how to crochet?!

Favorites!

I love embellishments! These little goodies are some of my favorite things! Paper flowers, buttons, sequins, gems, and clothespins.

This is my current crafting area, also my homework, studying, eating, and a multitude of other things area.

Right now I have been really into card making. These are some of my recent projects.

Well that's just a little bit about my current crafts and craftiness!

New Blog!

I'm starting this new blog to begin documenting all things creative that I love. I may not be the best crafter and I don't have all of the best supplies but I sure do love to create! So I'm going to share inspirations, projects, and all types of crafty fun!
